Cpl Townson (Acting Sgt) served in the 1980s-90s with 2/4th and 1st Battalions Royal Australian Regiment participating in several postings and major exercises in Australia. His overseas deployments included PNG, Vanuatu, Malaysia (Rifle Company Butterwoth) and on active service in Somalia in 1992-93. He now works to support his local community in Townsville.
