I was born in Bairnsdale, Victoria, Gunai/Kurnai country, then moved to Churchill, Victoria before moving to Heywood in Southwest Victoria.
My family has had a strong lineage of members that have served, with my Great-Grandfather serving with his brothers in the First and Second World War. As a result of this a building in Canberra was renamed to commemorate them, that building being Lovetts Tower. I joined in 2015 as I thought it would be a nice career change and I wasn’t wrong in that regard as I’ve been in almost 9 years and have enjoyed the majority of my time so far. I have had the pleasure to play AFL for the national Army side and for the ADF All Stars team that plays a curtain raiser for Port Adelaide during ANZAC Week.
