I am a proud Bindal Wulgurukaba-Juru, Mununjali, Kuku Yalanji Man. I was born and raised in Meanjin country (Brisbane, Queensland), graduating High school in 2020 at St Joseph’s College Gregory Terrace. Before I joined the Australian Army, I was an apprentice cabinet maker. Due to not having job satisfaction with that trade, my family inspired me to take an advanced career pathway to challenge myself by joining the Australian Army.  I joined the Australian Army on the 11th of October, 2021, and did my recruit training at Wagga Wagga, Kapooka. After I completed my Initial Employment Training on the 3rd of December, I posted to the 1st Combat Engineer Regiment in Darwin, Northern Territory and I am still currently posted to the unit. I have taken the opportunity to go on exercises like Crocodile Response, Predator Run, and Griffins Guns. I also had the opportunity to represent the Australian Army Rugby Union in the Australian Defence Rugby Championships and was selected for the ADF Rugby Union team.
