Career Highlights/Achievements

June 1993: Ceremonial Duties 75th Anniversary Western Front France and Belgium, return of the WW1 Veterans to the battlefields of the great war 1914-1918.

19 January 2000:  Proud to be the First Torres Strait Islander to achieve and be promoted to the Rank of Warrant Officer Class 2 (WO2).

 23 May 2000, My Warrant Officer Certificate was presented to me by the Commander from Northern Command Darwin during the official opening ceremony of the new joint ADF facilities on Thursday Island.  My mother, families, and friends were present during the ceremony.

2008Posted to Defence Indigenous affairs as an Indigenous Recruitment Advisor for Australian Defence Force Recruiting Cairns. This involved me travelling to remote areas as community engagement with youths from the Indigenous communities to prepare them for a career in the Australian Defence Force.

01 January 2010:  Proud to be the First Torres Strait Islander to achieve and be promoted to the Rank of Warrant Officer Class 1 (WO1).
