I am a proud Worimi and Wiradjuri woman. I am a descendant of Jack Cook, a respected local Aboriginal Elder who was head stockman for the Australian Agriculture Company in the early 1900s. I started my career as a Medic in the Army in 2017 after I finished high school. This then led me to living in Darwin for 4 years as an integral Medic. I have had the opportunity to work within Australia and overseas, providing urgent and routine medical assistance. I am currently working in Defence Recruitment, where I specialise in Indigenous Recruitment. I help create pathways for all Mob, whether that is through defence or an alternate pathway. Creating opportunity is all it takes to completely change someone’s trajectory in life. In my career, I aspire to be a mentor and nurturer to all brothers and sisters.
