I joined the Army in 1982 as a 19 year old boy from country Victoria. I served in the Regular Army for 6 years in the Signals Corps as a driver. When I left the regular Army, I missed it so much that I re-enlisted in the Army Reserve in the Infantry Corps and felt right back at home for 3 years before discharging and returning back home to the country in Gippsland.

My Grandfather was in the Army in WW2 and inspired me to look at it and I did. I was so inspired that my son has now joined the Army at the age of 19 and continues this connection.
